9 Month Pregnant Ohioan Murdered

I've been completely absorbed by this story and am deeply saddened and shocked by this atrocity. I guess form the moment that i heard she was missing that her boyfriend murdered her in her home the day she went missing. i wish i was wrong. i hope they recover enough evidence to deal with this case in a just way.

i can't imagine the pain that her family are experiencing at the moment when previously there must have been such excitemnet and joy that comes with the imminent arrival of a baby. i'm so very sad for them.

video covereage and more details here.

Carolyn's in Labour!

I'm glad I got 18 hours sleep, so I'll be prepared to help Carolyn in the delivery room. She's in labour now and likely to head to the hospital this evening. i'm getting prepared and am very excited to share this incredible experience with her. i was one hour late arriving from venice when her first son was born, which depressed me immensely. i hope she has as easy a time as she did the first time around or even easier. they say the second is easier, so we'll see...

travel during pregnancy

took a train to bradford from london so that i could give a keynote speech which brought on what i can only imagine to be a close encounter with an anxiety attack., i've never had one, so i don't know for sure, but i felt extreme discomfort travelling in the restrictive chairs in economy class which normally wouldn't bother me. i felt trapped an anxious the entire time which was very unexpected. no trains for me except the tube from now on. people are still not offering their seats to me on the tube despite being most obviously pregnant. the people who very occasionally do offer their seats are foreign men - no brits male or female. fascinating. alternatively, comeple strangers in the us walk up to me to ask me how things are going.

travel on virgin Atlantic upper class was comfortable - i highly recommend it for travelling mums for long haul travel. i got a nice hand massage on board and was able to sleep in a fully reclined position. one of the flight attendants was a complete bitch and seemed to take offense at the fact that i was travelling at all. while she sweetly and diligently passed out drinks, food and other items to the other passengers, i had to repeatedly ask for mine. likewise, i had the lady at the check in counter at continental yell at me for lifting my bag on to the weight machine even though she didn't offer assistance and knew i was travelling alone. i've got the full body pat down for all of my travels. i think they think i have a bomb not a baby in my belly. i have not problem with them checking tho!

Suuuuper sick...

I got the early indications of a cold yesterday and sure enough right as I was retiring for the evening, I got the full-on flu symptoms. I'm working from home today and can hardly breathe, my throat is killing me, I've got a headache and my body aches. All this and there's nothing I can do or so I'm told. I hadn't taken my Pregnacare for a couple of days because I hadn't beeen eating at night which is when I normally take them. So...I guess I'll stick with fruit which is high in vitamin-c and canarinos. God, I feel like hell!
